      1. Reasonable selection of device orientation

If UPS is disassembled and installed at low temperature, there may be a phenomenon of water droplet condensation.       2. Start-up and shut-down sequence when using UPS

      Accurate turn-on sequence should first turn on UPS to supply power to it, and then turn on each load, so as to avoid the harm caused by the instantaneous current impact on UPS at start-up. On the contrary, the turn-off sequence should first close each load and finally close UPS. When power supply is stopped by UPS, the data and materials of UPS should be reserved and the computer should be closed. Otherwise, the operation with UPS power supply may cause excessive discharge of UPS, and then shorten the service life of UPS.

      3. Tips for initial charging

      After the new UPS power supply is installed, UPS should be pierced into 220V city power grid, charging for at least 12 hours to ensure that the battery is fully charged. Otherwise, the actual available capacity of the battery will be much lower than the nominal capacity of the battery. If UPS power supply is not used for a long time. It should be started 24 hours every 2-3 months to make the battery fully charged and keep the UPS power supply in the operation condition of inverters for 2-3 minutes to ensure the normal life of the battery.       5. Battery Balanced Charging Tips

Batteries in UPS power supply should be charged equally when excessive discharge causes the terminal voltage to be lower than the regular calibration voltage of the battery. For 12V small sealed lead-acid batteries, the discharge calibration voltage is 10.5V; for 24V batteries, the discharge end voltage is 21V; for 96V batteries, the discharge calibration voltage is 85V.       6. Real-time monitoring

      At present, intelligent UPS has some operational functions such as communication with microcomputers and program control. By installing the corresponding software on the computer and connecting UPS through serial/parallel ports, and running the program, the computer can communicate with UPS. Usually it has functions of information inquiry, parameter setting, timekeeping setting, automatic shutdown and alarm. Like Winpower. Then the UPS can be connected to the computer through special serial port control cable, and then communicated with RS232 and RS485 protocol, which can complete the function of automatic shutdown when UPS has no market power input and low power consumption. And it can monitor multiple UPS connected on multiple serial ports together. In the meantime, through RS232 protocol, a serial port can only connect one UPS, and through RS485 protocol, a serial port can connect 256 UPS at most.

      7. UPS can't be shelved for a long time

      The excessive discharge of the battery and the long open-circuit shelf of the battery can increase the internal resistance of the battery and deteriorate its charging and discharging functions. For long-term shelved UPS power supply, before starting from scratch, charge the charging circuit in UPS power supply applicator for 12 hours before loading. For backup UPS power supply, it is best to keep UPS power supply in the inverter condition for 2-3 minutes every other month to activate the battery. In addition, it is also necessary to strictly control the charging current of the battery and not exceed the maximum charging current promised by the battery.
